Nearly Evening in Corona del Mar captures a quiet walk along the shoreline as day gives way to night. I was struck by how the soft yellows of the sky slowly faded into cool evening blues, casting a peaceful hush over the beach. The wet sand became a mirror—reflecting light, color, and movement in a way that felt alive.

As a Southern California painter, I’m always chasing those in-between moments. These two pieces are a way of holding onto the quiet beauty of the evening, just as the last light slips beneath the horizon.
